Noida News: Man Killed in Meat Shop Stabbing Following Argument Over Scarf
According to the police, the suspect grabbed a butcher’s knife during the altercation and attacked Shahjad, targeting his stomach. The assailant delivered two consecutive stabs before fleeing the scene, leaving Shahjad injured and the area in shock. The incident underscores the sudden escalation of violence and the suspect’s apparent intent to inflict serious harm.
In a shocking incident in Noida’s Sector 113, a 35-year-old man was reportedly stabbed to death inside a meat shop on Thursday afternoon. The attack happened after two customers at the shop got into a heated argument that turned physical. During the fight, one of them grabbed a knife and attacked the other.
The victim, identified as Shahjad, was originally from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. He lived with his family in the Sorkha area of Noida and worked for a private company, according to Noida Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ram Badan Singh. The suspect is yet to be identified.
On Thursday afternoon around 2:45 pm, Shahjad went to a meat shop in the Sorkha area to buy meat. While he was at the shop, he asked another customer to give him the scarf that the customer was wearing. This unusual request has caught the attention of the police, who are now investigating to understand why Shahjad asked for the scarf and whether it has any connection to what happened afterward.
What was the response from the police?
The police said that when the other customer refused to give his scarf, a verbal argument started between Shahjad and the man. The argument quickly escalated, and within a minute, it turned into a physical fight where both of them began punching each other.

Injury and Collapse: - Shahjad sustained injuries to his stomach and chest.
After being stabbed, he walked a few meters before collapsing on the ground.
Response by Locals: - Nearby residents noticed Shahjad bleeding and immediately informed the police.
Police Actions: - Police arrived at the scene promptly.
A case was registered under Section 103 (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Sector 113 police station.
Three teams have been formed to identify the suspect.
Investigation: - Statements of the meat shop owner and eyewitnesses have been recorded.
Further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
